About PIPEDA

The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) is Canada's federal private-sector privacy law. It governs how organisations collect, use, and disclose personal information in the course of commercial activities. As a Canadian corporation operating commercially, 13937020 CANADA INC. Ten Fair Information Principles

PIPEDA is based on ten fair information principles. Here is how we apply each one:

  • Accuracy: We keep personal information as accurate as practical for the purposes it was collected.
  • Safeguards: We use HTTPS encryption, access controls, and reasonable technical safeguards to protect personal information.
  • Openness: This notice and our Privacy Policy describe our practices. Contact us with questions.
  • Individual Access: You may request access to your personal information held by us at any time by contacting [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
  • Challenging Compliance: You may challenge our PIPEDA compliance by contacting us directly. If unresolved, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at www.priv.gc.ca.

Our operations are based in Orleans, Ontario. We apply PIPEDA and are also mindful of Ontario's provincial privacy standards. We handle personal data only to the minimum extent necessary for editorial operations.
